bahahaha, that will not likely happen to you when your only 16 (even with diabetes), it happens more when you might be in your 70s, and if you might be still getting some then, then excellent on you..
Know far better? Leave your very own solution in the remarks!
Keep very tight control of your glucose levels!! The closer to 100 mg/dL you are all the time, the less nerve damage you will get.
Watch your grams of carb very very closely and be low carb, sufficient protein and fat diet conscience, this way you won’t have to bolus for a huge bunch of grams of carb, exercise a lot, join a sports team?, and check glucose a lot!
I know! most type 1 people say you can eat whatever you want and just cover it with insulin, but insulin is the fat packer hormone. It converts all unnecessary grams of carb to fat and packs them on to your bod and it is very very difficult to get them back off.
Ignore Blake. He is absolutely wrong.
I’ve had severe erectile dysfunction since the age of 27.
The best thing you can do, my young friend, is make sure you keep good control of your diabetes. It’s when your blood sugar (glucose) levels are too high that damage starts to occur … this includes damage to your organs, blood vessels, and nerves.
There are a number of treatments for erectile dysfunction, including oral medications, penile injections, trans urethral suppositories, vacuum therapy devices, and even surgical implants. To be honest with you though, I think you’re jumping the gun a little. In any case, you’d need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis that erectile dysfunction was caused by a physical problem, rather than a psychological one, before any treatment could begin.
I’m diabetic(type 2) Since I am anonymous on this site, I will admit that I do periodically suffer from erectile dysfunction. I have a VERY specific diet that I eat that can completely bypass my ed, when combined with a lot of exercise. It is also a diabetic safe diet, or so I think anyway, Im not going to list my diet, but I will say that the better that you take care of yourself, the more likely you will be to avoid developing complications from diabetes; erectile dysfunction included.
