Staphylococcus is not classed as a sexually transmitted disease.

There are at least forty species species of Staphylococcus and most dwell harmlessly on the skin and mucous membranes.

Most infections are triggered by a sort known as Staphylococcus aureus and even that tends to be harmless in most individuals and does not cause any symptoms. It is usually identified within the nose and on the floor of the armpits and buttocks.
